The HE693DNT250 is a DeviceNet Master (Scanner) module made by Horner APG. It connects Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in the GE Fanuc Series 90-30. It supports monitoring devices connected in a DeviceNet network. Ladder programs operating in the controller view this scanner as a single I/O module. This module offers support for the UCMM protocol. It features compatibility with the Group 2 Only communication method in DeviceNet. It allows for explicit messaging using Ladder Initiated Explicit Messaging (LIEM). Polled connection features are also available. This scanner module also supports fragmentation on polled as well as explicit connections. It supports all four Message Body Formats for use with the UCMM protocol. This module reads data from the %Q and %AQ registers of the connected PLC. It can convert the data into packets and distribute it to nodes in the DeviceNet network. Incoming data is converted into PLC register format. It is then transmitted to the %I and %AI registers of connected PLCs. The Master module is able to carry out these functions without requiring a ladder program instruction, a COMREQ, or a block move operation. The module has two built-in LED indicators used for diagnostic purposes. The Master module uses a 5 pin connector for connection to DeviceNet I/O modules. An RS-485 Connector is also provided to allow connection to a personal computer. The connection requires an SNP adapter as well as a straight-through 9 pin serial cable to connect to the RS-232 serial port of a PC. This module does not support commands in Logicmaster or SNP formats.
