The Horner Electric HE693DAC420 is an analog output module. The module has four (4) analog output channels with a 13-bit D/A resolution. This module converts digital values (0 to 32,000) to analog current signals. The output range of each channel is specified as 4 to 20 milliamperes or 0 to 20 milliamperes. This module’s power consumption is rated at 90 milliamperes at 5 volts direct current (DC) and 120 milliamperes at 24 volts direct current (DC). It exhibits a current surge on power-up rated at 250 milliamperes for 10 milliseconds at 5 volts direct current (DC) or 900 milliamperes for 30 milliseconds at 24 volts direct current (DC). The input current of this analog output module is rated at 150 milliamperes at 5 volts direct current (DC) and 110 milliamperes at 24 volts direct current (DC).

The HE693DAC420 analog output module has a maximum linearity error of 0.10% full scale at a current range of 4 to 20 milliamperes and 0.15% full scale at a current range of 0 to 20 milliamperes. Its resolution is 2.0 microamperes in the 4-20mA mode and 2.5 microamperes in the +/-20mA mode. This Horner Electric output module requires an external power rated at 2 to 32 volts direct current (DC), and it has a load impedance rating of 1.1 kilo-ohms maximum at a 24-volt loop voltage. The module’s common mode isolation is rated at 500 volts alternating current (AC) rms, +/- 2000 volts direct current (DC). Additionally, its channel-to-channel isolation is 1500 volts alternating current (AC) rms, +/- 2000 volts direct current (DC). The HE693DAC420 should be operated in an environment where the temperature ranges from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. This module has an approximate weight of 0.39 kilograms.
