HE693DAC410 module is an isolated output module providing 4 output analog channels with 14-bit resolution and 1500 VAC (RMS) isolation channel to ground and channel to channel. HE693DAC410 module can convert digital values (-32,000 to +32,000) in %AQ registers into voltage signals of +10 V to -10V). The %AQ values are set by the PLC CPU’s ladder logic program. The module can be set by default to 0 V or on hold the last state when the CPU is set out from the RUN mode. This can be done in the configuration settings using the configuration parameter.
To reach the configuration screen in the LM90 configuration package, select I/O configuration, move the cursor over to the slot that contains the module, and select other and Foreign. The parameters required are %AQ Size Byte 1 and 2-5. The HE693DAC410 module can convert every %AQ decimal value into an analog voltage ranging from -10 Volts to +10n volts. The least significant bits of %AQ is 0 and hence, the smallest decimal change is 4, corresponding to 1.25 millivolts. The main source of power for HE693DAC410 is 100 milliampere at 5 Volts DC or 120 milliamperes at 24 Volts DC. To minimize the noise and capacitive loading, use shielded, twisted-pair wiring. When using the shielded wiring, it is important to use earth ground connection. If the shield is connected to the module end, use terminals 9, 10, 19, and 20 for shield ground point.
