The HE693ADC420 is an Isolated Analog Current Input Module from Horner APG. This module provides four (4) analog inputs with a resolution of 14 bits. The module provides a channel to channel and channel to ground isolation. It can convert the current input signals to digital values that are directly placed in the %AI table of the PLC CPU. Each of the four channels of the module is configured for an input range of 4 to 20 milliamperes or +/- 20 milliamperes. Each input channel of this module has a programmable setpoint whose level is set in the PLC program using four (4) %AQ output registers. When the value of the analog input reaches or exceeds the setpoint, %I, a corresponding digital input gets energized. The first four values in %I represent the setpoint alarms of the four input channels, respectively.

The power consumption of the module at steady state is 80 milliamperes and 4 Watts at 5 Volts while 2.16 Watts and current of 90 milliamperes at 24 Volts DC. When the module is powered up, the surge current is 120 milliamperes at 5 Volts and 150 milliamperes at 24 Volts. The HE693ADC420 analog current input module has an update rate of 45 channels per second and an input impedance of 100 ohms. It has digital filtering of 1-128 samples per update and a maximum error of 0.05% full scale. The ambient operating temperature of the module is zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius and relative humidity is 5 to 95% in a non-condensing environment. The common-mode rejection of the module is greater than 100 decibels.
