The HE300GEN150 is a network card that can also be used as an interface module. This module belongs to the PLC I/O product line and was designed and produced by Horner Electric. This Genius I/O network card is a high-speed token-passing network card used predominantly in industrial applications. It is mainly used in motion control systems, automation control systems, and business applications. This network card can handle up to twenty-four (24) devices simultaneously with a 153.6K baud rate. It is compatible with programmable logic controllers, input and output systems, and personal computers. However, the most fundamental aspect that this network card can do is provide seamless integration of data processing and accessibility in the PLC systems. This interface module from Horner Electric is compatible with the GE Fanuc drives, namely G11 and P11. The configuration manual contains the module numbers of the compatible drives. It helps ensure the smooth integration of drives on genius networks allowing the drives to access the features of the network. At the same time, it offers flexible configuration between the G11/P11 drives and programmable logic controllers (PLC). The card is directly mountable into the drives for data accessibility. The twenty-four (24) devices that this Genius I/O network card can accommodate is configured in a daisy chain fashion. In addition, the configuration of the PLC (programmable logic controller) needs to use the software packages which can be operated using PC. The software programming is possible with the ladder logic programming and system configuration on a personal computer.
