The GE Fanuc IC200PWB001 Power Booster Carrier is an adapter module. It is a metal box that is used to mechanically fix the Fanuc power supply to the DIN in the rack. In other words, IC200PWB001 cannot provide power without a power supply unit that must be added. Manufacturers generally make a PLC series that has a modular design in order to achieve the possibility to form various configurations and to offer it to the end-user.

At the same time, the end-user can migrate their equipment to a higher level. The GE Fanuc IC200PWB001 has various mount capabilities. Most notably, this device is capable of being mounted via a panel or a DIN Rail with dimensions of 7.5 millimeters by 35 millimeters. The power source mounted on the carrier can distribute current power to every Input/Output module that is situated to the unit right or up to, the same setting.

The direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC) power source on the CPU, or the NIU, and the source on the Carrier should all be connected to an equal power supply from an external source. It has two (2) LEDs, or light emitting diodes. The “PWR” LED display shows the functionality status of the booster power supply. On the other hand, the “OK” LED  displays the functionality status of CPU and NIU, as well as the connected booster supplies. This device has physical dimensions that measure 66.8 mm x 133.4 mm x 70 mm (2.63 inches x 5.25 inches x 2.75 inches).
