The IC200PBI001 is a Network Interface Unit (NIU) that works as a slave on the Profibus-DP network. The module is designed for VersaMax Series by GE Fanuc. The IC200PBI001 NIU module can act as a controller for I/O modules. The module can operate off a power supply that is installed directly onto the interface unit. The network address of this interface module is 1 to 125 with a data rate of 9.6 Kbaud to 12 Mbaud. It has a maximum of 375 bytes of I/O data with up to 244 bytes of output or 244 bytes of input. Each IC200PBI001 can control a maximum of 64 I/O modules.

The IC200PBI001 Network Interface Unit has five (5) LED indicators for helping the user monitor the NIU’s status and power. When the power is applied to the interface unit, the PWR LED will be green. When the firmware of the module is functional, the OK LED becomes green. If the FAULT LED is on, it indicates that the NIU has found an internal fault or in the I/O module. The NETWORK LED of the module can be amber, green, or off depending on the situation. If it is amber, the configuration sent by the master module is rejected. While NETWORK LED turns green, the I/O is being transferred on the network successfully. In case it turns off, there is no communication detected between the module and the master device. The Device also has a FORCE LED indicator that specifies the presence of forced I/O value. The IC200PBI001 is compatible with all high-density VersaMax analog modules.
