Part Number IC200CHS102 is an expansion base that was manufactured by GE Fanuc Emerson. It belongs to the VersaMax group of products and its main application is to wire with other types of bases from the family. It includes 16 points of connection, allowing to individually disconnect each of the connected devices to the module. For this purpose, there is an individual knife switch disconnect that can removed separately each connected device, without altering the complete system. The device includes J1 and J2 types of connection ports. To use the IC200CHS102 base, it is required to connect it to a main base, being item number IC200CHS101. There is a ready to use cable included in the IC200CHS102 base onto its J2 port that should be used to connect to the main base IC200CHS101. The IC200CHS102 base should not be wired directly to a IC200CHS003 base.
For connection to the expansion base IC200CHS102, all discrete modules are suitable with some exceptions. The models discrete modules that should not be considered from the MDL series are the following: models 144, 244, 331, and 730. From the MDD series, the discrete modules that should not be considered include models 730, 840 and 843. To connect to the base, a box style wiring should be used. The base does not have removable terminal connectors and its field-terminating type is non-integrated and it does not have fuse protection. The physical dimension of the expansion base, without the DIN rail included, measure 2.6 x 4.5 x 4.95 inches (65 x 115 x 126 millimeters).
