The IC200CHS101 is a disconnect-style interposing I/O module that connects the VersaMax Connector-style I/O carrier and the field cables and provides a wholesome disconnection option for the VersaMax I/O module connected field devices. It is applicable with a lot of controllers such as the motion controller, the panel PCs, the programmable automation controller etc. The main base has an expansion connector which enables it to be connected to the interposing expansion base IC200CHS102. The main base, that is the IC200CHS101, is applicable with a VersaMax connector as it provides connections for the terminals on ‘A’ side of the VersaMax connector.

The device comes with a communication interface port RS-485 and has 16 I/O points. The alternating current power supply rating is 220 volts, the voltage supply for the direct current is 24 volts, whereas the voltage rating for the alternating current is 230 volts. The current rating is indicated as 0.5 amperes. The devices have a digital output type with a 7 segment Liquid crystal display whose advantage is that it can work under a wide range of temperatures, from a very hot condition to well below freezing temperatures.

For each terminal, the cross-sectional area that can be accommodated by the terminal is either 0.2 to 4.0 square millimeters one solid or 0.2 to 2.5 square millimeters stranded with a rated size of 12 to 24 American wire gauge. In case two wires are inserted in the same position, then the wires should be of the same type, either solid or stranded and should also be of the same size.
