It is widely used as an interface for connecting the I/O carrier to the field wiring. It provides a wide range of snap-together input/output carrier styles. Furthermore, it can also be used to interpose terminals that offer exceptional flexibility. Also, interposing is available for modules that offer hot removal, and insertion. Moreover, it comes with support for EIC box style, barrier-style, and spring-style terminals. 

The GE Fanuc IC200CHS011 36 interposing barrier I/O carrier can be purchased with 1 or multiple stranded wires. The wires must belong to either AWG 22, or AWG 14. For the best performance, it is advised that users use standard wire AWG 14 with this Barrier Interposing I/O Carrier. The voltage rating on this module is 264 volts alternating current. The current rating on this module is 2 amps per point. For both ground and power, it comes with a current rating of 8 amperes. The maximum power surge rating on this module is 300 volts alternating current. However, power surge higher than this limit can seriously damage this module. 

For providing extra field wiring, the GE Fanuc IC200CHS011 36 barrier interposing I/O carrier comes with support for auxiliary output-input terminal strips. It supports multiple strips at once. The auxiliary input-output terminal strips are meant to be inserted directly to the lower part of the I/O Carrier. It can be installed on a completely different DIN rail, or on a shared DIN Rail with the input/output carriers.
