The IC200CHS002 is a box style I/O Carrier Module by GE Fanuc for its VersaMax Series. It is comprised of thirty-six (36) IEC box style terminals. The IC200CHS002 provides backplane communications, mounting, and field wiring for one input-output module. The module also has several features including its ability to support wiring for a maximum of 32 input-output points and four (4) shared power connections. This carrier module is equipped with a set of easily set controls to ensure easy installation of the correct type of module. The keys are set to match the keying at the module’s basement and carrier-to-carrier male or female connectors facilitate quick installation of connections at the backplane without requiring an additional tool or cable. A latch hole of the module is used for securing the module to the carrier and the transparent protective door is hinged to cover the wiring terminals. The input-output terminal strip allows the users to use additional connection points.

During the mounting of the module, the IC200CHS002 will snap easily onto a 7.5 x 35 millimeter DIN rail. It is important to ground the DIN rail electrically for providing EMC protection. The rail should have a conductive corrosion-resistant finish - it is preferable that the rail be unpainted. For the applications that require maximum resistance to mechanical shock and vibration, the carrier module should be panel mounted. While field wiring, each terminal should accommodate one solid or stranded of 14 to 22 AWG or two wires of 18 AWG.
