IC697MDL251 module is an input module from the Series 90-70 product range from GE Fanuc. The 16 input points of the IC697MDL251 Input Module are divided into four groups, each with four points. Because each group is separated, it is compatible with and may be utilized with a separate AC voltage supply phase. The mechanical tuning of the IC697MDL251 Module allows for easy field substitution with a similar kind of module. Limit and selection switches, push buttons, and electric proximity switches with two and three wires are all compatible with this 16-point input module. Through the 5 Volts bus on the device's backplane, a current of 0.35 amps is required.
The mechanical key on the GE Fanuc IC697MDL251 Input Module is devoted to preventing any inadvertent or illegal switching of modules in a given slot. When users desire to alter the Module's placement after the key latching procedure, the Module allows the key to be withdrawn by pushing it upwards, and it unhooks as it comes off the rail. The Module and key can then be reinserted when the installation site has been confirmed. Each of the four input groups requires a connection from the power source to the input terminal in the wiring of the IC697MDL251 Module. Wire sizes 14 to 22 can be used on the detachable field-wiring terminal board. A cable tie that runs through the cleat in the board's lowest corner secures the bundle of wires on the terminal board. Make sure the main power supply is turned off before removing the board.
