The GE Fanuc IC697BEM713 is a bus transmitter module. This establishes a connection with expansion racks. This module requires 5 volts direct current (DC) and a current rating of 1.4 amperes. This module is simple, easy to set up, and does not require DIP switches. It's from the Series 90-70 product line. This module can accommodate IC697 PLC racks and cater to expansion. Along with the many other advantages that this module provides, the parallel programming feature distinguishes it. This GE Fanuc module has two (2) connectors: one on top for interfacing and one on the bottom for daisy-chaining. The data rate of this GE Fanuc programmer interface is 500 kilobytes per second, and the cable's maximum length is 50 feet. MS-DOS or Windows programming software should be used for configuration. Status LEDs, or light emitting diodes, are present to alert you if there is a problem or error with any port or the entire system. There are three (3) main LEDs. The top LED indicates configuration completion, the middle LED indicates communication by blinking, and the last LED indicates the status of the expansion bus. Before installing modules, make sure that all of the instructions in the manual are followed and that the rack power is turned off. When the installation is finished, the power can be turned on. This prevents system damage and provides proper installation with accurate results. However, it should be noted that the module does not support installation in slot 1. It only supports installation at the right of any GE IC697-X interrupt source modules.
