The GE IC693PRG300 is a hand-held programmer (HHP) that offers the possibility to the user to debug, troubleshoot, develop, monitor, and control logic programs. The IC693PRG300 can control data tables and tune parameters for I/O points and PLC units. The IC693PRG300 supports the statement list language (STL) and is compatible with some models of the Series 90-30 PLC. The IC693PRG300 contains a 15-pin D type serial port connector to connect to CPU baseplate serial port through a cable with a length of 2 meters (6 foot) which will electrically supply the HHP and generate a signal to tell the PLC that an HHP is connected. The IC693PRG300 includes a sealed keypad with tactile feedback and forty-two (42) keys which are arranged and organized in a matrix of six keys across by seven keys down.

The IC693PRG300 can be either connected or disconnected while the PLC is turned on. The IC693PRG300 provides a two-line by sixteen character LCD screen. The IC693PRG300 includes a dedicated slot for a removable memory card which can be employed to save and recover off-line and non-volatile program and the memory card can be plugged on a slot that is located on the lower right side. This HHP draws a current rating of 170 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC. The IC693PRG300 can operate with four modes: program, protection, data, and configuration mode, which are chosen through a key sequence located on the keypad. The IC693MDL241 weighs approximately 320 grams (0.71 pounds) while shipping.
