The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL940 is a relay output module that includes sixteen outputs that deliver a voltage of either 5 volts DC to 30 volts DC or 5 volts AC to 250 volts AC at a frequency range from 47 hertz to 63 hertz. These outputs are grouped into four well-isolated groups of four outputs with a separate common power terminal for each group (A1 – A4, A5-A8, B1-B4, and B5 - B8) that are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of outputs. The IC693MDL940 can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate and at any input or output slots of the 90-30 PLC system. The output module provides an on response time of 15 milliseconds and an off response time of 15 milliseconds.

The IC693MDL940 draws a current of 7 milliamperes at a backplane voltage of 5 volts DC and 135 milliamperes at a backplane voltage of 24 volts DC. The module outputs deliver a current of 2 amperes to 4 amperes per point. This module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 500 volts AC continuously between groups and 1500 volts AC between logic and field side. This device can be employed with Series 90-30 PLCs for incandescent and inductive loads. The module has N.O. contacts.
