The GE Fanuc IC693MDL754 is a positive logic module belonging to the Series 90-30 module series. Within the Series 90-30 product line, the hardware that conducts all of the communication and control operations is the State Logic PLC System. The CPU, PLC base-plates, power source, and Input/Output modules also comprise the system's parts. This module is essentially an output module and it has a total of thirty-two (32) outputs incorporated into it. The thirty-two (32) outputs are divided into two (2) groups, each with sixteen (16) outputs. This module has an output type that is "sourcing". The power consumption of this module is 300 milliamperes at 5 volts direct current (DC) bus voltage on the system backplane. Additionally, each point has short circuit and surge current protection for added safety. A fault signal is created whenever an abnormality occurs, and it is relayed to the central processing unit. This prevents major harm to the system. A PAX-System RX3i system or a Series 90 30 PLC system can both utilize this module. The output is de-rated at temperatures over 104 degrees Fahrenheit and for 30 volts direct current (DC). As a result, the operating temperature range is 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Two (2) dual in-line package switches are located on the rear of this module. Moving on, the DIP switch setup and the software configuration of the module go hand in hand. GE Fanuc has incorporated efficient auto-recovery capability in the IC693MDL754. The status of each output point is shown by yellow and green LED's on this module. Green LED's show that the system is turned on, whereas yellow LED's indicate that a problem has occurred at any point in the system.
