The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL741 is a discrete logic output module that includes sixteen discrete output points that are negative logic outputs and support a voltage range from 12 volts DC to 24 volts DC and an output current of 500 milliamperes. These outputs are grouped into two well-isolated groups of eight outputs with a separate common power terminal for each group (A1 – A8 and B1 - B8) that are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of outputs. The module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 volts between logic and field sides and 500 volts between groups. This output module can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate and at any input or output slots of the 90-30 PLC system. The IC693MDL741 offers a high-level of inrush current and is used in many industrial applications such as solenoids and motor starters.

The IC693MDL741 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from a 12 volts DC/ 24 volts DC power supply. This module draws a current of 110 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 volts DC on the backplane. This module includes two electronic short circuit protection circuits to protect the outputs of two groups. The outputs draw a maximum current of 500 milliamperes per point and a maximum current of 2 amperes per group. The output module includes a hinged door that supports an insert in between the outside and the inside surfaces. The outside left edge of the insert is blue colored to show that this device is a low rating voltage module. The IC693MDL741 hinged door inside area includes the wiring details of the circuit and the outside area contains the identification detail regarding the circuit.
