The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL660 is a discrete input module that includes thirty-two discrete inputs that can be positive or negative logic inputs and support a voltage rating range from 0 volts DC to 30 volts DC. These inputs are grouped into four well-isolated groups of eight inputs (A1 - A8, B1 - B8, C1 - C8, and D1 - D8) with two common power for each group. The inputs are labeled with LED indicators to show the status of inputs. This module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation between logic and field sides. This device can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate and at any input or output slots of the 90-30 PLC system. The IC693MDL660 employs 32 bits of discrete input data.

The IC693MDL660 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from an isolated +24 volts DC supply that can be found at I/O connectors of the module. This module draws a current of 300 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 volts DC and a current of 224 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 volts DC. The module inputs draw a current of 7 milliamperes. This input module has two male 24-pin connectors (Fujitsu FCN-365P024-AU) on the front side that permit to link user inputs to this module. The input right-side connector is interfaced with A and B input groups and the input left-side connector is interfaced with C and D input groups. The IC693MDL660 weighs approximately 450 grams (0.99 pounds) while shipping and operates at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
