The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693CPU311 is an embedded CPU that can be used for the Series 90-30 of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This five (5) slot baseplate CPU includes an 80188 processor with 10 Megahertz of speed. The IC693CPU311 contains a configurable user program memory of 6 kilobytes. The IC693CPU311 includes EPROM, EEPROM, and RAM to store and save CPU firmware and user data. The IC693CPU311 has 160 discrete input/output connection points and is soldered and stuck on the backplane board in the baseplate. The IC693CPU311 supports many communication protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, FIP, GBC, GCM+, and GCM modules. The IC693CPU311 has a single serial connector that supports SNP-X and SNP slave protocols. The IC693CPU311 has 170 timers/counters and has 64 words of analog inputs and 32 words of analog outputs.

Although it is not compatible with some PLC devices, it still has shift registers and 170-time counters. The type of supported memory on this baseplate is RAM and Optimal EPROM or EEPROM. This base plate also has a serial port inbuilt.
