IC693CHS393 is a ten-slot remote baseplate manufactured for use with Series 90-30 Programmable Loci Controllers from GE Fanuc Automation. The module is usually used in applications where devices are far apart. The expansion baseplate can be used within a distance of 213 meters far from the CPU. It is a remote type baseplate that includes 10 slots that can be used with different devices and modules. Cables used to attach IC693CHS393 of GE Fanuc automation with other equipment in the application should be 100% shielded so that the information is not affected or lost by the interference of other signals. If the cables are not shielded already, there is no way to shield them to make them work for this module.
It is important that some modifications are performed to the pins of the IC693CHS393 10 slot remote baseplate so that the connecting cables plug on the baseplate for applications. The modifications are required for the factory-made cables, specifically, on the male ends of the cable that are to be plugged into the remote baseplate module. This 10-slot remote baseplate module’s cables are manufactured with plastic shell covers and these cables are required to be wired according to the manual. IC693CHS393 module has built-in isolation. This isolation is between the 5 Volts logic supply used by the connected I/O modules that reside in the module and the supply for the interface circuit, associated with the I/O bus expansion interface.
