The IC698CRE020 can be configured using C, ladder diagram, FBD, and ST programming languages over either RS-232 or RS-485 serial port. The IC698CRE020 includes LED indicators to show the redundancy memory exchange module status. The IC698CRE020 includes a battery-backed memory of ten (10) megabytes and ten (10) megabytes of flash memory. The IC698CRE020 offers 32-kilo discrete inputs and outputs. The IC698CRE020 provides 0.14 microseconds per 1000 boolean function. The IC698CRE020 supports RS-485, RS-232, and Ethernet serial communication ports. The IC698CRE020 Ethernet port offers a data rate of either ten (10) megabytes per second or one hundred (100) megabytes per second.
