The Emerson - GE Fanuc IC698CHS117 RX7i I/O rack was designed for use with the RX7i PacSystem series of products. The IC698CHS117 is an 18-slot I/O wall-mount rack with a VME64 backplane system and a high-level power supply. This I/O rack provides up to four times (4X) the bandwidth of standard VME backplane systems, resulting in faster I/O throughput. The IC698CHS117 I/O rack supports GE Fanuc Rx7i CPUs, Rx7i I/O modules, Series 90-70 I/O, and all standard VME modules. It has a slot-sensing feature for rack I/O modules and is programmed/configured using software, so no DIP switches or jumper settings are required. All RX7i racks must have an open-type design with IP 54 standard enclosures or superior ratings for safe operation in an industrial environment.
The IC698CHS117 RX7i I/O rack is designed to work with RX7i high-wattage power sources, as well as Rx7i AC power supply plug-ins. It has a 350-watt power supply with current draws of 4 amperes at -12 volts, 12 amperes at +12 volts, and 60 amperes at 5.0 volts. The IC698CHS117 I/O rack has 18 I/O slots that can hold up to 15 single-width I/O modules, 8 double-width modules, or a combination of double-width and single-width modules.
