The IC695PSA140 is a PACSystems RX3i Multipurpose 120/240 Volt AC or 125 Volt DC Power Supply with a 40-Watt power supply. This hardware operates from an input voltage source in the range of 85 to 264 Volts AC or 100 Volts DC to 300 Volts DC. The IC695PSA140 provides the following three inputs: +5.1 Volt DC output, +24 Volt DC relay output, and +3.3 Volt DC. This IC695PSA140 power supply can be utilized in load-sharing and redundancy applications. Specifications for the IC695PSA140 include a nominal rated voltage of 120/240 Volt AC or 125 Volts DC, an AC input voltage range between 85 and 264 Volts AC, and a DC input voltage range between 100 and 300 Volts DC. It has a maximum input power with full load of 70 Watts and an inrush current of 4 Amperes, 250 milliseconds maximum.

The IC695PSA140 has an output power of 30 Watts maximum at 5.1 Volts DC and 3.3 Volts DC. Output current at 24 Volts DC is 0 to 1.6 Amperes, 0 to 6 Amperes at 5.1 Volts DC, and 0 to 9 Amperes at 3.3 Volts DC. Input to backplane isolation is 250 Volts AC continuous, 1500 Volts AC for 1 minute. The IC695PSA140 has a ripple and noise (all outputs) of 150 mV. Ride-through time is 20 milliseconds, current per terminal is 6 Amperes, and number of daisy-chained PSA140 supplies allowed is 4. This power supply has 4 LED indicators, which indicate for Power, P/S Fault, Over Temperature, and Overload. For Power, the LED is green when power is being supplied to the backplane. When it is amber, power is going to the power supply but the power supply is switched to the ‘off’ position. P/S Fault, when lit (red), indicates the power supply has failed and no longer supplies adequate voltage to the backplane. Over temperature indicates that the power supply is near or exceeding its operating temperature limit. And finally, overload is lit amber when the power supply is near or exceeding it maximum output capability on one or more of its outputs.

The GE Fanuc/Emerson Automation IC695PSA140 PACSystem RX3i is ideal for load sharing. Furthermore, it supports redundant configuration when necessary. It is compatible with other such modules with the catalog number IC695. For operation, this module can generate four multi-purpose power supplies. These varying power supplies can be connected simultaneously to this module without any lag. There are two backplane slots on this module. Thanks to the built-in sensors, it can successfully detect any fault in operation. It will automatically record the appropriate error code for future use. 100 to 300 volts DC or 85 to 264 volts AC is the input power voltage rating on this module. While being connected to the direct current voltage, it requires an input power of 70 W. In full load mode, the required current voltage is also 70 W. The maximum power output rating is 40 W. The power output rating maximum is 30 watts at both 5.1 VDC and 3.3 VDC. The output power required depends on the surrounding temperature of this module. The module has a ride-through time of 20 milliseconds. The GE Fanuc/Emerson Automation IC695PSA140 PACSystems RX3i can accommodate as many as Four multi-purpose power supply modules at the same time. Furthermore, this power supply module comes equipped with four LED indicators. The LEDs are assigned to display power, P/S fault, overtemperature, and overload. As a protective measure, this module comes with an overCurrent protection feature. 85 to 264 VAC or 100 to 300 VDC is the appropriate supply voltage rating for this PACSystems RX3i module.
