The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695NIU001 is an Ethernet network interface unit which allows a 90-30 I/O system or RX3i PACSystem device to operate remotely on an Ethernet network. The IC695NIU001 can be used as an EGD to exchange and interchange I/O and monitor data throughout the network. This unit contains eight (8) LED indicators to display the module status, two serial ports, and a pushbutton to restart the IC695NIU001 unit. This GE Fanuc product includes RS-232 and RS-485 ports to link either terminal or terminal emulator; this enables fixing and and troubleshooting of Ethernet communications through its station manager software. The IC695NIU001 PCI system is electrically compatible with the PCI 2.2 standard.

The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695NIU001 offers a boolean execution speed of 0.072 milliseconds per one-thousand (1000) boolean instructions. The IC695NIU001 supports SNP, Modbus RTU Master/Slave, and Serial I/O protocols. The IC695NIU001 backplane is a dual backplane that supports both 90-30 Serial and RX3i PCI technologies. The IC695NIU001 supports floating point for complex mathematical operations and can send input data of 1300 bytes to the controller; it can receive output data of 1300 bytes from the controller. The IC695NIU001 requires a current of 0.95 Amperes at a voltage rating of +5 Volts DC and a current of 0.59 Amperes at a voltage rating of +3.3 Volts DC. This GE product includes a battery back up to maintain the clock and to store RAM data, and operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
