The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695LRE001 is a serial bus transmitter device that can be employed for Rx3i PacSystem. This module provides the communication and links between the RX3i universal backplane and the serial expansion. The module offers also communication between the RX3i universal backplane and remote backplanes. The IC695LRE001 can be easily mounted in an RX3i universal backplane on the right end in the special expansion connector. This module translates and converts the universal backplane signal levels to the serial expansion signal levels. The unit has two green LED indicators that are located on the faceplate to show the communication status of this module. The IC695LRE001 contains an RS-232 faceplate connector to connect the expansion cable. This serial bus terminal occupies a single slot.

The IC695LRE001 provides a data rate of 500 kilobytes per second. This device offers a cable length of 213 meters (700 feet) for the remote backplane and 15 meters (50 feet) for the expansion backplane.
