The IC695CMX128 is a RX3i PacSystem Control Memory Xchanger Module. It belongs to GE Fanuc's RX3i PacSystem series of CMX modules. To send data between PLCs and industrial devices, it must be paired with a fiber-optic network that can host high-speed data transfer. It employs a reflective network. This network supports as many as 256 nodes. The network line has a transfer rate of 2.1GB per second. The GE Fanuc 5565 VMIC reflective memory device family can also be paired with the IC695CMX128 RX3i PacSystem Control Memory Xchange module. Furthermore, it also comes with 128 megabytes of reflective memory. Also, it comes with software-configurable node characteristics. Additionally, this device can support multimode fiber connections of up to 300 meters long.
The IC695CMX128 RX3i PacSystem control module includes LEDs for "OK," "CONFIG," "SIG DELETE," and "OWN DATA." They tell users about the state of the CPU, module settings, signal detection, and data packets received. On the module's bottom side is an optical transceiver with two LC-type fiber-optic interfaces. These units can be linked via both single or dual fiber-optic cables that support multimode connections. Proficy Machine Logic Editor Developer Software 5.80 or later is required to program the module. It supports basic read and write operations, as well as advanced functionality like reading the interrupt state, parity errors, and more. The nodes on this reflective network are linked together in a daisy chain loop by fiber optic cables that connect the receivers and the transmitters. The first node's transmitter is linked to the second node's receiver until the loop is fully executed.
