The IC695ACC400 is an Energy pack designed by GE Fanuc for RX3i Series CPUs. The power pack is suitable for RX3i series CPUs: CPE302, CPE305, CPE310. This power pack cannot be used with any other CPU. When there is a power loss, the energy pack provides power backup long enough to allow the CPU to write the memory content to nonvolatile storage memory. It can be mounted on the left side of compatible RX3i series CPUs using the IC695CBL001 cable. When the system is powered up, the energy pack IC695ACC400 gets charged from the RX3i 24 Volt DC rail through the IC695CBL001 cable, which connects the power pack with the CPU. It is compliant with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.

It is suitable to use in areas of Zone 2 or Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D with a minimum IP54 enclosure rating. The replacement schedule of this energy pack depends on the surrounding air temperature. If the temperature of the surrounding air is between 0 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius, the life expectancy of the energy pack is above ten years, while in the area with a surrounding air temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, the life expectancy reduces to only 4.5 years. When the IC695ACC400 is connected for the first time or the system is powered down long enough to discharge the energy pack completely, it may require some time to charge back to the operating level. During this time, the IC695ACC400 will report the charging state to the CPU. It provides the status information back to the CPU as follows, and this status is used by the CPU to generate fault messages and LED indications.
