GE Fanuc designed and produced the IC694PWR321 power supply module as a PLC power supply for the RX3i PacSystem series. It is functional with all GE RX3i CPUs and hence may be used in any RX3i PLC. The power supply module IC694PWR321 operates at 120/240 Volts AC and 125 Volts DC. It is planned to be used as a serial extension device and must be placed in the serial backplane of the host PLC, especially in the slot on the far left. The current rating of the IC694PWR321 power supply module is 2 Amps. and maximum output power of 30 Watts unless the output voltage is 5 Volts DC, in which case the maximum output power is 15 Watts. It does not provide a redundancy capability for load sharing.
Three outputs are available via the GE Fanuc RX3i IC694PWR321 extension power supply module. The first output is a 5-volt direct current output. The second is a 24-volt direct current relay output capable of powering the circuits on output relay modules. The third is a 24-volt direct current isolated output capable of powering field equipment coupled to 24-volt direct current input segments. The IC694PWR321 voltage source module operates from 85 to 264 volts ac or 100 to 300 volts direct current. Its green "PWR" LED illuminates when the PLC is powered on, and the power supply and levels are stable; its green "OK" LED illuminates when the entire PLC is working normally, and when the PLC is in driving mode, its green "RUN" LED lights.
