The IC694MDL654 by GE Fanuc is an RX3i series input module with 32 positive/negative logic input points. This module is equipped with 32 discrete TTL input points arranged as four isolated groups with eight inputs in each. The inputs are positive/negative logic based, have a maximum response time of 1 ms, and can operate at DC levels from 0 V up to 15 VDC. The inputs can be connected with a cable length of 98.4 feet (30 m, maximum). The input module has a rated voltage of 5/12 VDC (TTL) with a range of 4.5 to 15 V and switches ON at >4.2 V. A regulated +5 V supply (with current limited to 150 mA) is available through the front I/O connectors of the module and is isolated from the backplane. It has a rated input current of 3 mA at 5 VDC and 8.5 mA at 12 VDC. The maximum power consumption of the input module is 440 mA (maximum) from the +5 V bus on the backplane (when the isolated +5 V supply is used to power inputs and all 32 inputs are ON). Additionally, its power consumption is 96 mA (typical) at 5 VDC and 272 mA (typical) at 12 VDC (when the user input supply is used and 32 inputs are ON). It is UL 508 certified, equivalent to CSA C22.2 No 142M1987 standard. It is also approved as Class I, Div. 2, Groups A, B, C, D for operation in hazardous locations. The compact input can be panel mounted or on a DIN rail. Its additional features include high-speed and patented technology for faster throughput with hot swap capabilities and a variety of voltage ranges, types, current capacity, isolation, and response times to meet diverse application requirements. This module is compatible with all devices of the RX3i system and can be installed in any associated I/O slot.
