The GE Fanuc Emerson IC694MDL231 is a discrete input module that includes eight discrete isolated inputs that support a voltage range from 0 volts AC to 264 volts AC and an input current of 15 milliamperes. Each input has a separate common power. These inputs are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of points. The module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 volts between logic and field sides and 500 volts between inputs. This device can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate and at any input or output slots of the 90-30 PLC system. The IC694MDL231 can be started by employing pushbuttons, limit, and electronic proximity switches.

The IC694MDL231 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from a 240 volts AC power supply. This module draws a current of 60 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 volts DC on the backplane. The inputs support a maximum current of 15 milliamperes per point. This input module includes a hinged door that supports an insert in between the outside and the inside surfaces. The outside left edge of the insert is red-colored to show that this device is a high-rating voltage module. The hinged door inside area includes the wiring details of the circuit and the outside area contains the identification detail regarding the circuit.
