This master module acts as a data conveyor for the CPU to transfer and obtain data operating through the DeviceNet network. The module can be used either as a master module or can be configured and used as a slave module to any other master modules available on the bus. The master module can serve up to 63 slave modules at once. This product is well suited with any CPU within the Series 90-30 product line, in addition to PacSystems RX3i CPU version 3.5 and later.

Located on this master module are three (3) LEDs (light emitting diodes) that displays the status of different things, such as communication and working statuses. These LEDs are labeled Mod Status, Net Power, and Net Status. The RS-232 serial port is located directly beneath the LEDs. The RS-232 port is used for connecting the IC694DNM200 to a computer. Devices are connected to the trunk cables or drop lines. Drop lines can be linked to the trunk cables with taps, which are mountable on panels or junction boxes.
