This device is part of the RX3i PacSystems series of discrete I/O modules and provides the interface between a PLC and external input device. The PacSystem is a rack-based system, based on PCI standards providing fast and consistent control between its connected modules. The module type is input simulator and it has no backplane restrictions. It occupies one single slot on the backplane and it has 16 points. Depending on the application, the unit has a variable response time of 20 milliseconds for ON and 30 milliseconds for OFF. Its connector type is switches and the internal power used is 120 milliamperes at 5 volts DC. There are LED indicators, which provide status information for ON or OFF position on each toggle switch.

The third, and most extended kit, is the IC695STK003, known as the complete package with control, motion, and view that includes RX3i, the active motion module, and the 6-inch QuickView panel with software.
