The GE Fanuc ST-7408, also known as the shield signal smart module, is an 8-channel power device. The eight protected channels are designated 0 through 7. The ST-7408 utilizes module Identification. This module enables users to control systems' durability, connection, and cooperation.
The maximum current load supported by this ST-7408 power module is 10 amperes per point. When functioning at 5 volts DC, it consumes no more than 18 milliamperes of internal power. The GE Fanuc ST-7408 has physical dimensions that measure 99 mm x 12 mm x 70 mm (height x width x depth). It employs a spring clamp terminal block connection. The wiring is made up of a maximum of 2.0 mm diameter input/output wire that is rated at 14 AWG. This module has an approximate weight of 70 grams.
The state of the device is shown by an LED (light emitting diode) light that is present on it. Whenever the status LED is turned out, it indicates that the device does not have an extension module or power. An uninitialized LED shows that the Parameter has not been initialized yet, which is the case when the LED is not initialized. The presence of green status lights indicates that the FnBus connection is operating normally. When the FnBus is ready, the LED becomes green and flashes continuously. On the other side, flashing red signifies a failed communication with the FnBus. There is an equipment fault present when the status LED light is solid red, which indicates that the device is malfunctioning.
