The IC660ELB912, which is a MicroGENI daughterboard, was designed for an IBM PC bus. However, it can also adapt to other CPU types. As this unit can handle data passing through it independently, it frees up the host. This enables the host to manage I/O from a distance. It accomplishes this by utilizing the Genius I/O's excellent reliability and noise immunity characteristics. The host can also communicate with other hosts by using the Genius LAN's communication facilities. The IC660ELB912 can execute fault, and startup chores for over 30 external bus devices. 

Each device has its own I/O, which this MicroGENI device retains updated images of. For communicating with other connected controllers, this module can transfer signals over data grams, global data, and directed control data. On its single-printed circuit board, this MicroGENI module includes a variety of complicated components. It sends messages to the MIT chip using a 6303 serial interface microprocessor. This chip is in charge of the bus's hardware interface and provides support services. This module can handle timer functions, run error checks, and even control LED drivers. Using the connected transmit/receive circuit, this unit can monitor signals exchanged via the MIT, and BUS. 

To exchange data, the MicroGENI uses dual-port RAM. This is accomplished using the 6303 microprocessor and the 64180-manager microprocessor. The dual-port RAM ensures that the two processors have equal access because they operate two different systems. A GAL is in charge of this, and it delivers memory to either CPU byte by byte. The 64180 features an additional 8 kilobytes of RAM for its own usage. Spacers should be used to secure the MicroGENI to the motherboard. Standoffs, PCB, and screws are used on each of the four corners of the motherboard to hold it in place. On the board, do not apply any type of adhesive. The MicroGENI daughterboard must not be positioned in such a way that airflow across the board is obstructed.
