The MVI56-MNETC, which was developed by ProSoft Technology, is a TCP/IP client communication module. This product offers compatibility with Allen-Bradley's ControlLogix processors. This module has an available 10/100 Mbits RJ-45 Ethernet port, and RJ-45 CFG port. These ports allow for the MVI56-MNETC to interact with various Modbus devices. The backplane current load of this module is 800 milliamperes (mA) at the rate of 5 volts DC (direct current) and 3 milliamperes at the rate of 24 volts DC. Attached to the front side of the MVI56-MNETC are LED indicators. The LED indicators are for battery status (ERR), application status (APP), and module status (OK). Additionally, the front side of this device has a four (4) character, scrolling, alphanumeric display. This display show various information regarding the module, IP, port status, version, application port settings, and even errors.
The MVI56-MNETC communication module is capable of withstanding an operational shock of up to thirty (30) g and a non-operational shock of up to fifty (50) g. Additionally, this module can withstand a vibration of five (5) g from a frequency range of 10 to 150 hertz (Hz). The suggested temperature for this product's operation ranges from zero to sixty degrees Celsius (0 - 60 °C), or thirty-two to one hundred and forty degrees Fahrenheit (32 - 140 °F). The suggested temperature to store this product, however, ranges from negative forty to eighty-five degrees Celsius (-40 - 85 °C), or negative forty to one hundred and eighty-five degrees Fahrenheit (-40 - 185 °F). Additionally, the relative humidity around the MVI56-MNETC communication module should be 5% to 95% with no condensation.
