The Allen Bradley 700-P400A1 is a NEMA heavy-duty industrial relay. This relay has four (4) normally open (N.O.) contacts with a contact rating of 10 amperes. It has AC voltage actuation with a contact rating of 110 volts AC at 50 hertz and 115 to 120 volts AC at 60 hertz. This 4-pole relay has a control voltage of 600 volts AC and a coil voltage of 120 volts AC. The relay is packaged in an open-type enclosure for environmental protection. The relay belongs to the Bulletin 700-P series of products and uses standard contact cartridges with a bifurcated design. Bifurcation enhances contact reliability and improves low-contact bounce. The relay also uses a double-break contact design that lowers the chances of contact welding and improves the relay's functionality of breaking DC circuits.
The 700-P400A1 heavy-duty industrial relay is capable of being mounted via a DIN rail mount. This relay has electrical screw type plug connections supporting a conductor size of 18 to 12 AWG with a terminal screw torque of 0.9 to 1.4 Nm (8 to 12 lb-in). The relay is a CSA/UL approved relay that has a mechanical life of up to ten million (10,000,000) switching operations. This relay operates adequately in a temperature range of -20 °C to +65 °C (-4 °F to 149 °F). Additionally, this relay can be stored at a temperature range of -40 °C to +65 °C. The dimensions of this relay with a contact cartridge measures 57.15 mm x 89.69 mm x 103.43 mm. The approximate weight of this relay is 1.07 kilograms, or the equivalent of 2 pounds.
