Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation has created and manufactured the 1606-XLS120E power supply module, which is part of the 1606 series of power supplies. This module features a single-phase input, and it has an output current rated 5 amperes at 24 volts. This module's power supply is meant to be as compact as possible, with characteristics such as an extremely low inrush current, active power factor correction, a broad range of AC and DC input, and LED indications. Furthermore, there is an LED that indicates if the DC power level is enough, as well as an LED that warns users of overloads. This power supply module, namely the 1606-XLS120E power supply module, is very small and efficient thanks to synchronous rectification technology. The output voltage of this power supply module is 24 volts DC, with an adjustable range of 24 to 28 volts DC. At 24 Volts DC, it can deliver 5 amps of constant output current and 120 Watts of continuous output power. This module's DC input voltage range is 110 to 300 Volts DC, while the AC input voltage range is 100 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. The efficiency of this power supply module is over 90%. Lastly, the holdup period at 120 to 230 Volts DC will be between 34 and 65 milliseconds. The CE and UL standards have certified it. If specific systems or applications demand them, it is compatible with a number of extra devices, such as wall-mounting brackets and redundancy power supply modules.
