Digital IFM, 1492-IFM40F-FS120-2, similar to the terminal blocks, has 40-pin cable connectors (commonly 16 to 32 PLC I/O points). It offers two field-side wiring terminals per I/O point. It is consistent with both the pre-wired cables as well as the IFM-ready cables. 

1492-IFM40F-FS120-2 is an isolated IFM whose terminals are isolated into 16 groups. This grouping enables each group of I/O devices to use a distinct power source. This extra terminal module is useful in applications where I/O devices are terminated inside the same panel as the I/O modules, avoiding the requirement for several additional terminal blocks. It features a 40-pin keyed cable connector that comes with locking tabs for simple and easy installation. And, also ensures a secure connection with IFM pre-wired / ready cables. For quick installation, it offers standard DIN #3 rail mounting. To accommodate more connections within a minimal space, wiring terminals on the field side of the module are highly dense. 

Its operating voltage ranges from 85 volts AC/DC to 132 volts AC/DC. It allows a maximum of 2 amperes of current per circuit. It can allow a maximum current of 12 amperes per module. It has a width of 7.09 inches, a height of 3.27 inches, and a depth of 2.78 inches. It comes with fuse holders having dimensions of 5 x 20 millimeters. For outputs ( in every 16 groups), it has blown fuse LED indicators. These LEDs operate on 120 Volts AC/ DC and draw up to 2.5 milliamperes. It is suitable for bulletin 1746 SLC 500, Bulletin 1771, Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix, Bulletin 1769 Compact I/O for CompactLogix & MicroLogix 1500 , and Bulletin 1794 of Allen Bradley.
