1492-CB1G100 belongs to Allen Bradley's bulletin 1492-CB that contains overcurrent protectors having thermal-magnetic type and meet the requirements of UL 1077/ CSA 22.2 No. 235, IEC/EN 60934. It is also known as a miniature circuit breaker. This device is developed for the protection of a vast variety of products, which includes solenoids, testing equipment, I/O Points of controllers, relays and contactor coils, computers, transformer, power supplies, automotive systems, medical supplies, and control instrumentation.

1492-CB1G100 may be used for direct control of manual motor controllers when motors are connected across the line. Further, it is also intended to operate as a motor disconnect and may be sealed in the OFF position when it is utilized with the locking device kit. Upon overcurrent in controllers, it has an overload trip and instantaneous magnetic trip feature devised to trip open the main contacts. These trips are non-replaceable and fixed thermal (bimetal type). That's why it is appropriate to provide the motor with overload protection. It has limited DC ratings.

1492-CB1G100 is one pole, type C miniature circuit breaker. It is mainly used for inductive loads that can have a continuous current (full load current) of 10 amperes. Its tripping current is 6 to 10 times the full load current (10 amperes). It has a G trip curve. Its maximum operating voltage and power are 277 Volts AC (1 phase) and 2 horsepower. It has the dielectric strength of 1960 Volts AC. Without a series fuse, it offers a 5 KA short circuit rating at 277 Volts AC. For general use, it offers an overload rating of 0 @ 277 Volts Ac.
