The 100-D420EN11 IEC contactor requires 380 volts at 50 hertz (Hz) to operate its electronic coil (with electronic interface), which is used to switch the auxiliary contacts featured in this contactor model. The contactor can withstand a maximum of 420 amperes and has three (3) poles configuration. The module is used to switch the motors in the motor control systems, providing it with operating power to start or stop. The 100-D420EN11 is an excellent choice for control systems since it can handle a power of 175 horsepower (Hp) at 230 volts alternating current (AC) and 400 horsepower at 575 volts alternating current (AC). The 100-D420EN11 is a non-reversing type of contactor. 

The installation is of this contactor is very simple since it's a single-pack compact contactor. Installation on a DIN rail or a panel box is recommended. The user can easily access the contacts of the 100-D420EN11 since it has front-mounted terminals and side-mounted auxiliary contacts. The contacts are IP2X protected, preventing users from touching the hazardous parts of the contactor. The contactor does not provide overload protection, but it does support surge suppressors and other optional accessories. The supported accessories include timers, interlocks, latches, and lug terminals. The 100-D420EN11 contactor must be operated in an area with an ambient temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or 60 degrees Celsius. The manufacturer recommends following the instructional manual and taking precautions when installing the product. The contactor is IEC, CSA, UL, and CE certified. Additionally, this device was manufactured using environmentally friendly materials.
