For controlling a demanding, high-power motor control system, the 100-C72D00 IEC contactor is an ideal contactor. This contactor is perfect for switching applications that require a high load current. The maximum load current switching offered by this contactor is 72 amperes. At 115 volts AC, this contactor has a rated horsepower of 10 Hp. The contactor does not feature any auxiliary contact, but they can be added using the auxiliary contact terminal kit. The device has a 3-pole configuration. The terminals are front-mounted and are of screw-type terminals. This module is IP2X protected from the front, including the upper terminals. These terminals are also protected against accidental finger touches to prevent accidents. When mounting the contactor, make sure to mount it in a panel box. The maximum altitude that this device should be operated at is 2000 meters.  

All the 100-C contactors from the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100-C series do not provide over-current protection. Therefore, a surge suppressor can be handy to control sudden electrical surges. Users can use an electronic timer to control the switching of the contactor. Since the device has such a high current rating, a lot of heat dissipation is expected, therefore, it was not possible to make it compact. The isolation voltage on this module is 690 volts and the impulse voltage withstand is 6 kilovolts. The 100-C72D00 IEC contactor measures approximately 71.89 mm x 122.3 mm x 116.9 mm (Width x depth x height). The contactor meets all the standards and requirements according to IEC, CSA, UL, and CE.
