Part number 855H-BD30BD is an industrial horn that was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This device is part of the 855H product series and is used for industrial audio signaling. The product 855H-BD30BD belongs to the subgroup of general purpose electronic horns as a standalone unit without the beacon visual signalization unit.  The unit has multi-tone and volume control capabilities and can be retrofitted directly into machine panel or in traditional 10.2 centimeters (4 inches) boxes. The item 855H-BD30BD is a high performance electronic horn, fit in gray color housing with IP56 enclosure rating. The device cover and base are manufactured from ABS plastic material and its gaskets from Nitrile 70 material.  It has a voltage input of 24 volts DC and has an acceptable input range of 10 to 30 volts DC. The unit has a current consumption equal to 25 milliamperes.

The horn produces 3-stage audio output, and the user can select from 32 different incorporated tones. Its sound output is 104 decibels, when measured at 1 meter (3.3 feet) distance. There is optional strobe beacon providing visual output, which can be purchased separately. This option features xenon lamp with 5 Joules output and six different colors to choose from: red, green, amber, blue, clear and yellow.  The horn has a maximum acceptable peak shock is 15g and vibration shock is 3g.  It has been c-Ul-s listed and CE-marked. The physical dimensions of this device measures 86 millimeters x 86 millimeters x 78.3 millimeters (3.38 inches x 3.38 inches x 3.07 inches).
