The integral component of any temperature control device is its primary circuit. The contact ratings for this device's control circuit, for an AC (alternating current) input, is a voltage range of 24 to 600 volts, as well as a power rating of 125 volt-amperes. Additionally, for a DC (direct current) input, the contact ratings for the control circuits consists of a voltage range of 115 to 230 volts with a power rating of 57.5 volt-amperes. Furthermore, the non-inductive contact ratings of this device include a rated current of 5 amperes at 240 volts and 3 amperes at 600 volts. 

The Allen Bradley 837-A2E temperature control device has several features that include independent adjustable trip and reset settings, a heavy-duty bellows actuator, snap-action silver contacts that are highly reliable, and remote bulb and capillary sensing elements. This device has the option of different enclosures with different ratings. These enclosures include open enclosures and enclosures with a Type 1, 4 & 13, 7 & 9 and 4 & 13. When operating this device, the temperature of the surrounding area should range from -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit, or -30 to 66 degrees Celsius. Additionally, when this device is being stored, the temperature of the surrounding area should range from -22 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, or -30 to 93 degrees Celsius.
