Part number 836-C9 is a pressure control device, manufactured by Allen Bradley. It belongs to the Allen Bradley Bulletin 836 pressure controls for general industrial applications. This unit's main application is to open and close electric circuits when there is change in pneumatic or hydraulic line pressure. This device has external bellows, is manufactured from copper alloy, and is suitable for applications with non-corrosive media. The device has a snap-action operation of contacts that are single pole and are available to connect opened or closed on pressure increase or decrease. Its non-inductive ratings are 5 amperes at 240 volts and 3 amperes at 600 volts. It has an open enclosure and pipe connection ¼ inch internal thread NPTF.

The pressure control unit maximum line pressure setting is 900 pounds per square inch (psi), and it has a maximum line pressure of 1300 pounds per square inch (psi) and an occasional surge pressure of 1600 pounds per square inch (psi). The adjustable differential range setting is from 0.2 to 125 pounds per square inch (psi). Unless indicated otherwise, the unit will come pre-set from factory with its minimal differential and maximal operational set-points. The pressure control device settings can be easily changed by turning two operation screws: one for the operating range adjustment and one for the differential adjustment.  The unit can operate in surrounding air temperature on the absence of freezing water in the range of -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius) and can be stored in -22 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 93 degrees Celsius).
