The 802PR-XBAB1 belongs to the Bulletin 802PR technical sensors product series, and is manufactured and designed by Allen-Bradley for various sensor applications in industries. This Allen-Bradley device is an inductive proximity sensor with an efficient side sensing distance of 15 millimeters. This sensor’s sensing distance can be increased since it has a shielded construction that allows the proximity to be mounted flush in surrounding metal. It has a LED light for energized output. It can support various enclosure ratings such as Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, and IP65. This sensor has a shock rating of 30 grams for 11 milliseconds. It shows 15% typical hysteresis and repeatability and has short circuit and overload protection. Allen-Bradley’s 802PR-XBAB1 comes with two wire AC / DC connections and has protection against transient noise and false pulse. This side sensing sensor is shielded against corrosion by a self-extinguishing glass-reinforced polyester body with the flexibility of rotating its side sensing head in 90° increments. During its installation, a conduit style of ½ inches-14 NPT connection is used. Other notable features of this inductive sensor include an input voltage supply of 60 to 132 VAC, a leakage current of 1.7 milliamperes at 120 volts, the operational temperature rated at -25 to 75°C, a radio frequency range of 20 to 1000 megahertz, and loading current equal to or less than 1 ampere at 40°C. In addition, it features a normally open output configuration. Allen-Bradley’s 802PR-XBAB1 inductive proximity sensor is certified and listed for compliance with the CSA and UL.
