Part number 592-EOV16 is an Allen Bradley Eutectic Alloy overload relay that has 3 poles, normally closed contacts, and a manual reset. This device was designed to be mounted and wired separately from the contactor device. This device is fitted with an optical indicator that becomes visible after a relay trips. This model of overload relays requires one (1) or three (3) overload heating elements. It provides protection for trip class 10, 20 and 30, and heating elements are selected based on the primary trip class. The heating elements for each trip class are type J, W, and WL for classes 10, 20, and 30, respectively. Allen Bradley’s 592-EOV16 complies with UL 508, CE Mark, and CSA 22.2 No. 14 standards.
The 592-EOV16 has an auxiliary contact rating of 10 amperes and a maximum voltage rating of 600 volts AC for NEMA A600 contacts. For NEMA P300 contacts, this device has an auxiliary current rating of 5 amperes and a maximum voltage rating of 300 volts DC. Additionally, these auxiliary contacts for 3-phase eutectic alloy overload thermal relays have replaceable contacts, with category number 595-A00 for the normally open contacts and 595-B00 for the normally closed contacts. In addition, this device is equipped with a normally open or normally closed alarm contact adder. The ratings for trip current can be readily selected by using the appropriate heater element instead of making changes to the overload relay. Also, the trip free mechanism provides overload protection if one is holding down the manual reset button.
