The Allen-Bradley produced 592-EC2PC is a solid-state overload relay from the 592 categories of products. The 592-EC2PC module has a current rating of 0.4 – 2 amps and a contactor size of 0 to 2. The 592-EC2PC unit is factory configured for three-phase operation. Furthermore, by adjusting parameter 27, it is simply changed to a single-phase operation. The 592-EC2PC module is intended for use with squirrel cage-type induction motors to provide protection. The relay module's front panel has an LED status indicator, a restart button, node address selectors, a connector for the voltage input module, a ground fault sensor input, and input connections. The 592-EC2PC module has protection against overload, current imbalance, jamming, under loading, stalling, phase loss, and ground faults. In the unpowered condition, the 592-EC2PC module's trip relay contact is open.

This 592-EC2PC device additionally has four inputs and two outputs in addition to the trip relay. The device status parameter 21 may be used to monitor the status of various inputs and outputs across the DeviceNet network. Additionally, the outputs may be controlled through DeviceNet via one of the output assemblies. The 592-EC2PC component is rated at 24 volts DC and operates between 11 and 25 volts DC.
