The 442L-SFZNMN is a mini laser scanner module. It is made by Allen-Bradley and is included in the Guardmaster SafeZone series of safety laser scanners. It has a single configurable safety field and a two meter safety field. It is designed for mobile as well as stationary use cases. It features two programmable I/O for application flexibility. This unit meets SIL safety level 2 and Performance Level PLd. It is designed for a mission time of 20 years. The pulsed laser diode that it uses is classified under the laser protection class one in order to protect eyesight. It uses an 8-pin M12 QD connector. It features integrated external device monitoring (EDM). The scanner module allows for a multiple sampling option for difficult environments. It has a replaceable optic cover. Despite the small design, the module is able to scan at angles up to 270 degrees. The angular resolution is 0.5 degrees. It has scanning ranges of 2 meters (6.6 feet) or 3 meters (9.8 feet). The module has a field set comprising one protective and two warning fields. If only one warning field is used, the module conducts contour monitoring of the protective field area. This unit has an average output power rated at 3.42 milliwatts. The module has a basic response time of 80 milliseconds and has a power up delay of 18 seconds. It is powered using a connecting cable that has a round plug connector.
