The 440R-S12R2 is a Guardmaster Single Input Safety Relay module that is branded and manufactured by Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation. The module is a general-purpose safety relay that includes one dual-channel universal input and one Normally Closed (N.C.) Solid-State Auxiliary output. The 440R-S12R2 safety relay module has 22.5 millimeters of width with four (4) terminal blocks; two blocks on the top and two on the bottom. These blocks are keyed to ensure that the module is installed properly in the slot. The module includes LED status indicators for indicating the status and diagnostics. During the fault state, the PWR/Fault status LED indicator will blink in a pattern to help users diagnose the fault with ease. The safety relay can be easily configured by adjusting a multi-position switch to set its functionality. These switches are available on the front side of the relay module allowing the users to set the position as required during and after the configuration. During the configuration, LED status indicators on the front of the module confirm the settings of the switch.

The relay has one dual-channel input with 2 electromagnetic outputs. The module can be configured for monitored manual or automatic reset. This can be done by adjusting the switch present on the front of the relay. The safety relay also includes an SWS output. Additional specifications for the 440R-S12R2 include dimensions of 119.14 x 22.5 x 113.6 millimeters, or 0.88 x 4.69 x 4.47 inches. It has an approximate shipping weight of 150 grams or 0.33 pounds. Terminal screw torque is 0.4 Newton-meters or 4 pound-inches.
