The Allen Bradley 440R-D23171 is a guard master safety relay. It provides two handed control and has two normally open contacts. The power supply voltage it needs to operate is 24 Volts DC. This relay does not contain any normally closed contact or an auxiliary output. And it does not also have any delayed safety outputs for that say. However, it has a manual and an automatic reset button, and its terminals are also removable. This module features a 99 millimeter depth, with its height being 114.5 mm, and it has a width of 22.5 mm. This model is categorized as a simple type relay. It has no output numbers, either delayed or safety related or semiconductors. However, it has 4 outputs with contacts for all the said categories. According to EN-954-1, its category is 4 and based on the performance level of EN ISO 13849-1, its level E. Besides, it has level 3 SIL according to the IEC’s standard number  61508. One of its most important functions is its suitability for monitoring emergency short circuits. But this safety relay does not monitor the magnetic switches or protect the optoelectronic equipment. Likewise, it is not compatible with monitoring tactile sensors, proximity switches, and position switches. Its electric connection type is a direct plug-in, while users can mount this relay module through the rail mounting type. This relay also supports AC and DC for actuation. It complies with the UL, TUV approvals and is compatible with functions such as clamps, feedback circuits, starting input, and muting.
